Hi, my name is Lourdes. Coming from a large close knit family, I launched Lulu’s designscape after many attempts at crafting small projects around the house. I was presented with a Cricut™ machine from my husband to inspire my crafty side (or to keep me busy). Which ever the case was, he created a monster. After fighting my own nerves, thinking “will this be enough”, “what will people think” and dreading the fear of letting my work be shown, I took the plunge. I closed my eyes and said, “I have something unique, I have a quirky personality let me share my thoughts along with the images that are in my mind”. Thanks to Covid-19, I had time to play things out in my mind and know that what I create can make other people smile. I can brighten someone’s home with a unique design. I wanted to create my designs to make people laugh or have something personal to share with a loved one. Hopefully with enough room to grow on my site, I can achieve big things or even help someone who is in my shoes reach their true potential. In a world that is ever changing, some things will never change. We, as creators, builders, designers etc., can continue to inspire one another with our own personal designs. Here’s to all the crafters that ventured into this new world that I am embracing. These are big shoes to fill, and I look forward to spreading my wings.
